L. Michael Cacace is a senior list editor at Fortune where he oversees all Fortune lists, including the Fortune 500, Fortune Global 500, and Fortune's List of the Fastest Growing Companies.
In 2000, Cacace was presented with the Time Inc. President's Award for the creation of the Fortune Indexes. He has appeared on both television and radio including, Comcast CN8 and Time Warner News 1 as well as National Radio: CBS, BBC, CNBC, CNN.
Previously, Cacace was Senior Editor and Director of Statistical Services, American Banker, a Thomson Financial Company from 1977-1996. Prior to that, he was an economist for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Cacace received a MA and BA in Economic and Minor in Mathematics from Queens College C.U.N.Y. He also received a Doctorate in Economics New York University.
He resides in Long Island with his wife.
